Brunchin’ | afternoon
I have missed sharing with you all my brunch reviews, but I am back with another review. This past weekend, I finally got to try afternoon a restaurant located in the northwest side of Gainesville.
Walking up to the restaurant makes you feel like you’re almost not going into the right direction because it just appears out of nowhere, but it is located in the perfect area. Nearby is a crossfit gym, and bike store. The neighborhood is very quiet on this Sunday afternoon.
I went with a friend, but I think it would honest be a great place to go and enjoy a book and have brunch alone.
For my brunch, I ordered the dutch baby and a side of bacon. My friend ordered crispy potatoes and a side of sausage on the side. everything was so perfect and delicious.
My friend was concerned that the dutch baby would be overly orangey, but it was actually wasn’t. The orange was a very light flavor in the dish and mixed well with the syrup. The pancake seemed to soak up the flavor well.
In my friend’s potatoes there seemed to be a spicy fruit. We forgot to ask what exactly it was, but it was a bit alarming to my friend. However, she did love her meal and enjoyed her Radler which reminded her of Austria.
It was my first time trying a Radler and I surprisingly enjoyed it. I do not like beer, so for me like this was a shock to me. I highly, suggest it if you dare.
We stayed around to chat for a bit, honestly, I wanted to order more food having watched everyone else’s order come out.
